What is BlazorForge
BlazorForge is a Blazor WebAssembly theme — a complete user interface foundation for .NET web applications. It gives you production-ready pages, components, and design tokens so you can skip months of UI work and focus on your application logic.
What Blazor WebAssembly Means
Section titled “What Blazor WebAssembly Means”Blazor WebAssembly is a framework from Microsoft that lets you write web applications entirely in C#. Instead of JavaScript, you write Razor components that run in the browser through WebAssembly.
This is different from Blazor Server. In Blazor Server, the UI runs on the server and communicates with the browser through SignalR. In Blazor WebAssembly, the entire application runs in the browser after downloading a small runtime.
BlazorForge uses Blazor WebAssembly as its primary target, but the components also work in Blazor Server and Interactive Auto mode.
What BlazorForge Provides
Section titled “What BlazorForge Provides”BlazorForge gives you three things.
First, a set of seven production-ready pages. These cover the most common page types in any web application: home, about, services, service detail, journal, journal detail, and contact. Each page is fully designed, responsive, and accessible.
Second, a library of sixty-five pre-built components. These include navigation menus, cards, forms, data grids, modals, pagination, breadcrumbs, tag lists, author cards, and more. Every component follows the Microsoft Fluent 2 design system and passes WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility requirements.
Third, an integrated content management system through Decap CMS. Non-developers can edit content through a browser without touching code. Content is stored as Markdown and JSON files, so it remains version-controlled and portable.
What BlazorForge Is Not
Section titled “What BlazorForge Is Not”BlazorForge is not a backend framework. It does not include a database, API, or authentication system. If you need those, combine BlazorForge with your own backend services.
BlazorForge is not a static site generator. It is a Blazor WebAssembly application, which means it runs in the browser. If you need a pure static HTML site with no JavaScript, see tools like Astro, Hugo, or DAX.
BlazorForge is not a hosted service. You purchase the source code once and own it forever. There are no subscriptions and no recurring fees.
When to Use BlazorForge
Section titled “When to Use BlazorForge”Use BlazorForge when you are building an interactive web application with .NET. This includes admin dashboards, internal tools, SaaS products, enterprise portals, and client-facing applications.
Do not use BlazorForge for static content sites, marketing pages without interactivity, or projects that cannot use .NET.
How It Fits Into a .NET Project
Section titled “How It Fits Into a .NET Project”BlazorForge is a complete Blazor WebAssembly project. You can use it as the starting point for a new application, or you can copy its components into an existing project.
If you are starting from scratch, extract the BlazorForge ZIP file and run dotnet run. The entire theme is already configured and ready to use.
If you already have a Blazor project, you can copy individual Razor components, styles, and design tokens into your existing codebase.
